PANAMA: Interior minister investigated for murder

The government of President Martí­n Torrijos received a setback this week after the attorney general opened an investigation into the interior minister, Daniel Delgado Diamante, for murder, following press allegations. While Delgado dismisses the accusations, claiming that the death in question was an “internal police affair", the speculation is fuelling calls for him to resign.
